i phone 3gs on t mob

just got above ,said it was unlocked been used on 02 and voda,put my sim in and seen invalid sim at one point,no service on it ,any ideas

Sounds like its not unlocked at all, where did you get it from can you contact seller to find out which network it is on?.

im the settings i can see o2 pay and go,i picked it up from the house,she did say voda and o2 wer used

why dont you just jailbreak with redsn0w and install the ipad baseband and then run redsn0w jailbreak again to downgrade baseband. then install ultras0w, your 3gs will then be unlocked and accept any network/carrier

if you set this up on itunes as anew device or updated it you would have wiped the ultrasn0w unlock

download latest redsn0w from dev team blog, then run the programme and follow instructions displayed

Buy a cheap pay as you go sim from an o2 shop and see if you get a service. If you do then get an official unlock from O2 customer services- its about 20 quid and you can pay by topping up the 20 quid on the phone. The unlock is done by simply connecting the phone to iTunes. Once done the unlock is done for life which means the phone will be free to upgrade to the latest firmwares as they come available. It's the best way to go for twenty quid.

mate seriously do what i said and your phone will be unlocked in under 30 mins, if you still recieve no service then the handset is blocked.

02 wont unlock the device unless you can prove ownership from contract or reciept of purchase as payg
