is jailbreak & unlock possible on iphone 4 ios6

hi all

been looking around net and keep getting spam or scam sites

just brought 2X iphone 4 from ebay
arrived and both are ios6, modem 4.12.02

can i jailbreak these and then unlock them

did it last year on a 3g iphone i got for lad 's christmas present last year,

only tethered jailbreak at the moment so dont bother. As for unlock, it cannot be done unless factory unlocked by service provider.

I'm on tethered jailbreak since ios6 tethered came out. I have no issues and never have crashes (unless i'm doing something stupid like installing stuff just to try it out). The phone has been stable and never had issues. I would rather be on a tethered 6.0 than stock 6.0.

You can use tineyumbrella and try to see what shsh are saved on cydia. If the phone was ever jailbroken, then cydia may have the shsh blobs and you can restore to a lower firmware that will have an untethered jailbreak. Worth a shot.

If you have shsh saved, post back here and I'll walk you though.

i unlocked my phone first.. changed over network and saved shsh file. UPgraded to 6.0.1. Then make a customer IPSW using a 6.0 IPSW file (Lots around) merged with your SHSH and worked a treat.
semi thethered but no reason not to JB. even if lose power, normal phone use retained.
win/win

annoying many tweaks not ready yet for ios6,

You can't unlock your iPhone via jailbreak software because baseband 4.12.02 is not supported.... your best bet is to approach the original network provider and pay for a factory unlock....(it will then be unlocked to all networks for life)
