iphone 3gs bottom half of screen doesnt respond

Hi

my mate dropped his 3gs and now the bottom half of his keyboard( last line of letters/space bar etc) wont work. also it is quite hard to slide to unlock.

Tried the reset trick, no luck.

has anyone else come across this or should i tell him to take it to a phone repairers

Get a new screen off ***bay make sure tools are included
Easy to do, loads of intructional videos on you-tube.

Sounds like the digitiser is faulty. When you get a new one get one with the LCD screen fitted to the digitizer- makes life a lot easier. Btw parts are available on amazon too.
