    A friend as asked me to have a look at one of these phones.

    hes said he wants it unlocking to GIFGAFF can this be done he wants to save a few bob

    its on vodaphone now.

    how can this be done?

    do i need leads/software etc if so how do we do this

      Telephone Vodaphone and ask them to unlock it. Safest and easiest way to do it. Provider unlock stays good always Then just throw a gifgaff sim in. Voda will give him the info.
