    Password

OK, a friend of mine's father died recently very suddenly. However his 3GS is locked using a pass, is there anything that can be done to unlock his phone? even if it means going into a Apple shop?

    Cheers

    No....
Your best bet is to restore the iPhone back to standard.

You could jailbreak it and put your own payload which bypasses pincode, not easy and simple procedure but it's not impossible

      This can help you

Put the iphone in DFU mode and then do a restore in itunes. Look on YouTube for dfu mode if you don't know how to do it

You can't do anything to the iPhone while the security pass lock is on...

Just restore it...but as stated above you will need to enter DFU mode to proceed.

gecko tool kit will find the code and preserve all info if that is what you wish!

              100% works on pre 4s iphones (3g)

Thanks for all suggestions. She is after the contents of the phone, the phone itself isn't as important, she wants to be able to contact his friends who are unaware and get the photos etc off the phone.
