Hi, can someone please help ? my freind updated his iphone 3gs (jailbroken) in itunes from 4.3 to 6.1. now the iphone seems to be stuck in the activation stage using wifi or cable to itunes,it shows the imei number and says iccid not reconised or something on them lines thanks in advance for any replies.

Google how to put the phone into dfu mode then connect it to iTunes on your laptop or computer, which will fully restore the phone.

hi, done that twice with differant ios downloads and itunes downloading from apple still comes to the same screen choose language wifi ect and won't activate with apple just says connect to itunes

Try inserting the correct sim(on the same network the iPhone was issued on ) and activate through iTunes...

3g 16gb iphone total crap. Only use it to biew dk in bed and bath

Sounds like tt wasn't only jailbroken, but also sounds like it was unlocked - but not by the carrier the phone came from, maybe previously done with Ultrasn0w?. He'll have to get a sim from the carrier it came from and have them unlock it.
