Hi, my Dad (wetdog) jail broke my phone for me yesterday, and im just a bit confused, i installed the tetherme app and it brill and works as i can now Face Time without being connected to any WiFi (i couldnt before) , i have connected my phone to my tablet to be used as a personal hotspot through tetherme as i dont have WiFi at home, without sounding stupid will it use my mobile data or tether me??? thank you

Firstly the tether me app will make no difference to your face time calls. Face time calls over 3g have been enabled since iOS 6.0.

Second part- the tether me app will open up your device and then broadcast that device as a wifi hotspot.
This means that if you have tether me installed on an Idevice which is mobile Internet enabled, then other wifi enabled devices will be able to connect to the Internet through your Idevice.

This of course means that it uses your data allowance so make sure you have a lot of data in your allowance or get unlimited data from your provider.

I have used tether me but have changed now to a Cydia store app called mywi which I find is more stable and offers better security. Think it's about a tenner to buy but a cracked version is out there too.
