Iphone 5 sim on ipad mini

Hi

I have an i5 and was wondering if I can use this nano sim on my mini-ipad to just access g3? Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

Why don't you just tether off your phone.
It's only a fiver a month to do it officially or free if the phones jailbroken. Just search mywi on Cydia.

Do you really want to keep switching the sim between devices?

I don't think it is wise or possible. iPhone sim has voice connection. In iPad 1 and iPhone 3G sims were the same size and standard. iPad simply used the data connections.
I am not sure, but I think iPad mini sim is smaller and may not have room for voice connectors. If so you have to cut your phone sim then you will not be able to use it in your phone.
In addition, now when we buy a new iPhone or a new iPad, micro sim is delivered with all of them but with cardboard / plastic adaptors for other sim sizes. I think iPad mini sim is different, because my provider asked me specifically if it was for iPad mini or not and I said no.
