iPhone 3gs stuck in recovery mode

    Hi everyone
My 3gs is stuck in recovery mode after a failed factory reset in itunes failed and I need some help to get it working again. Before I tried the factory reset I was having a few niggly problems which is why I tried the reset thinking that a restore to default might help.
My main issue was that my iphone couldnt see my home wifi even though it used to work and it can see other wifi networks, although not all networks. I figured it could be a software problem so restoring to default seemed like a good idea at the time.
I have been trawling forums and googling my problem and I've even tried to jailbreak using snowbreeze but nothing seems to be working. I've tried tinyumberella and fixrecovery43 with varying results, none successful. I've even had my phone boot up in greenpoison mode once and laptop has also recognised my device as an iphone in DFU mode once but I have tried all sorts of things more than once but Im not convinced that I've been doing things right or in the right order but I am convinced that with some help from someone with more knowledge of this problem that my phone can still be recovered.
My current version of itunes is 11.3.1.8 if that helps.
I look forward to hearing from anyone offering useful assistance.
    Regards
    Ian

The wifi issue is common on the 3GS and most the time is a hardware issue nothing to do with jailbreak or iOS issue use snowbreeze latest version make sure u got right version 3GS identified old bootroom or new 1 will be tethered jailbreak it will download latest iOS 6.1.3 and boot iPhone back to life
