Iphone 4 wont charge

Just shows image to insert charger, tried different chargers, changed battery etc....any one? cheers

This sounds like it could be a battery failure. Have you tried plugging into iTunes and done a full restore of the iOS just incase its a software failure.

no I haven't tried that, didn't think it would work in iTunes as no autoplay or anything comes up on the laptop

Give it a try and see if iTunes recognises the phone.If it does, then back up then initiate a restore.

Hmmm it sounds like it might be a communication problem caused by the dock connection. Better make an appointment at your local Genius Bar mate.

I am not sure if these have them but the old 3gs has two surface mount fuses on the bottom of the board that would blow and stop charging and data connections. probably built into the connector board now on the 4
