Benefits of jailbreak

I have an iphone 4s currently on 6.1.3 as I have not yet upgraded. Can anyone let me know what benefit it would be for me to jailbreak ?
Is there a list of extra apps that I could get?
How easy is it to jailbreak for a compleat novice?
Will I be able to keep all my existing apps, music an photo's?
How long does it take?

The jailbreak is currently very simple to do. As for the benefits well if you like free movies, TV shows, free games and the ability to change the way your Idevice looks graphically- then go ahead and jailbreak.

Do I just follow the instructions from the link that you have posted and am I likely to encounter any problems

My advice would be to upgrade your firmware to ios7.04 by connecting the device to iTunes.
Then jailbreak using evasion
evasion.com
Once the jailbreak is complete it will instal an app on your home screen called cydia. From Cydia you can do wondrous things.

Keep your phone on 6.1.3 for the moment. It would be better to maybe wait for this jailbreak as not much will work at present on ios 7 anyway (jailbroken). Use tinyumbrella to save your shsh blobs for 7.0.4 while apple are still signing them as this is important. You can do this while on 6.1.3. This will enable you to restore your phone to this firmware whatever.
If you decide to use evasi0n jailbreak and upgraded to 7.0.4 you will need to do a fresh restore for the jailbreak to work properly. Backup all your data first and use itunes not over the air upgrade.

if i make a iTunes account and add all 3 devices, then gaol bait the unloved one, will bookie apps appear for free on my other 2 iShits?
