2nd iphone/ipad jailbreak & itunes

Hi, my friend wants to jailbreak his phone and/or ipad but does not have iTunes to hand, can I run evasion on my laptop with my iTunes installed to jailbreak his phone- evasion wont run without iTunes installed

You need to connect your Idevice to your laptop and run the evasi0n software to jailbreak.

Before doing this its best practice to connect your idevice to iTunes and back it up, then restore it- thus putting a fresh iOS 7.0.4 firmware back onto the idevice. If you don't do it this way it's been known to be problematic.

Thanks johnboy, what I'm not sure about is attaching another I device to my iTunes to backup only ( does it work and does it clear any of my data on iTunes ), also not sure what part iTunes has to play when running evasion program to jailbreak ( it won't run on PC with no iTunes installed )

You can attach up to five I devices to your iTunes account and back up.
You keep talking about evasi0n and iTunes together. They are both separate programs that don't need nor use each other for the jailbreak. Go ahead try the jailbreak as I said in my first post if it don't work just restore your device again through iTunes.

iTunes- use this to back up and restore the phone to iOS 7.0.4
Evasi0n- use this to jailbreak the device just follow the instructions that appear, its easy.

Btw no your data in iTunes will always be there ready to transfer onto any of your five idevices.

thanks again, sorted now
problem i had yesterday was i tried to run evasion software on a pc with no itunes attached and it did say couldnt run without itunes installed ( not sure why this would be as stated they are 2 different programs )
