Jailbroken my iPhone 4s OS 7.x - but still wont accept different sim?

Phone was/is locked to orange.
As title, I have carried out a sucessful jailbreak with evasi0n, but it still wont accept an 02 sim.
I though jailbreaking would unlock?

Or do I need to do more?!

Hi jester the jailbreak will not unlock the phone.
Jail breaking and unlocking are two different things.
There is no software unlock for iOS 7 so you will need to contact your service provider to get the phone unlocked.

What about if I program it with an older iOS - like 6.x. Is there software available to unlock then?

There has been no software unlock for iPhones for many years mate.
