restore wtf mode

can't get the phone into dfu mode it either goes into restore mode or wtf mode but need it in dfu so i can restore,it's jailbroke thanks for any help

Connect the device to iTunes, and cancel the sync.
Hold in the standby button and home button together until the screen goes black, then let go of the standby button whilst continuing to hold in the home button. After about 12 seconds a message will come on screen telling you that iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode. Say yes to restoring it.
