          Have you done a full restore through iTunes- it might be a software glitch.
          Also make sure you reset the network settings.

          Settings/General/Reset/Reset network settings

            It seems my U2 chip has blown on my iphone 5 and now will not charge due to a short on cheap iphone cable.

              Why don't you just replace the cable and get the chip replaced at your local repair shop. Prices of repairs are coming down all the time for idevices.

                My local repair shops says its between ?70 and ?100.

                Ebay want around ?50 and i wanted to see how much microtek123 would want.

                  Shop around mate and get the best price, there's of local shops repairing gadgets nowadays. Tbh ?70-100 seems fair including the price of the parts.

                    Ive bit my lip and offered a guy on ebay ?50 to fix it.Id rather have spent that towards a BGA machine to have a go myself but with my luck at the moment id on f#ck it up.

                            i have a iphone4s iv had a new battery fitted it shows charging fine but when I remove it from charge it only lasts 4 hrs on standby any idea what can be causing it ???
