Micky just follow the instructions on my post. No jailbreak needed.
Moviebox will let you watch the latest movie releases and full seasons of your favourite tv shows right on your iPhone or ipad. You can download them for watching later on.

I would go ahead then and update but do it through iTunes as it's always more stable. The new 8.1 brings a few fixes to some minor issues on iOS 8
