Ten years ago since the first iPhone was announced

I just stumbled on this article from The Verge, showing the very first public unveiling of the iPhone.

It's been ten years since this, in tech world terms, monumental happening took place.

What's your favourite or least liked additions over the years to both the iPhone and iOS?

I loved the addition of the Retina-screen on the iPhone 4, I remember buying it and being in awe of how crisp the images looked. My least favourite hardware-change is probably the design-stagnation since 2014. Or the protuding camera-lense.

On the iOS side, I remember how happy I was when we got native support for Multitasking in iOS4. And my least favorite 'addition' is the removing of the 'Swipe to unlock' since I don't have a Touch-id device.

Ten years... wow. I'm totally with you on the remove of the swipe to unlock function, although I do have a touch-id device. It was such an integral and intuitive part of using an iPhone I think. Plus, the touch-id is pretty shaky, it's really frustrating when it doesn't work and you have to enter the passcode anyway, thus defeating the entire point!

I remember ordering one on eBay think it cost me around ?500
No picture messaging, no video recording, no App Store and the phone was exclusive to o2 in the uk.
Still it was a giant leap forward and raised the bar considerably.
