GOT MY IPHONE , PLUG IT IN FOR ITUNES AND IT DOWNLOADED 3.1.3 ??? NOW IT WONT DO ANYTHING , NOT JAILBROKE OR UNLOCKED ?? DO I NEED NEW SOFTWARE ??

It is new software, if the iphone isn't jailbroken or unlocked then it doesn't matter anyway, it will work fine.

If you want to jailbreak it and unlock it then you need Blackrain.

Then you have just undone the Jailbreak.
The only way I know now is "Redsn0w" to jailbreak in again.

I think your right, even the "Redsn0w 0.94" will only jailbreak the 2g.

You can get the 3g onto the 3.13 firmware but you have to make a custom firmware first..

Just restoring my apps back on my jailbroken 3GS, used sn0wbreeze-V1.5.1, then used ultrasnow to unlock it.
I wouldnt recommend anybody updating to 3.1.3 as yet, wait for something simpler to use !!
I'll report back once my phone is fully loaded with all my $hit.

Of course it is.
Apple don't want you with a jailboken iphone so that you can get all their Apps for free do they.

Sn0wbreeze worked a treat, only prob I ran into was with blackra1n, once jailbroken I tried unlocking with it, all i got was a snowflake, wouldnt start etc, did a restore again and this time unlocked with ultrasnow as I'm still on the oldest modem firmware, just installing all apps/music etc.
Will take a wee while to restore it all Ian.
It works a treat imho.
