Iphone 3G want to unlock, jailbreak etc

I am about to purchase an iphone 3G which is locked on o2.

I would like to unlock it so it works on three, jailbreak it and also install the latest ios 4.0

please can someone tell me in which order I should do this.

it's not true ...

With redsnOw 0.9.5b5-4 at the unlock / Jailbreak you can activate the multitasking for the 3G

if you upgrading to iOS4 you gota upgrade to iOS 4 then run redsonow and jailbreak then unlock


redsnow enables the multitasking on iOS 4

os4 is very slow whether anyone knows how to return from 4.0 to 3.1.3 It is the iphone 3g

Ok first off, back up your SHSH files if on 3.1.2 or 3.1.3.

Then upgrade if you wish, but you can multi-task on earlier JB fw with something called backgrounder. Been doing it for a year or so now, so you can definately multi-task on a 3gs.

Depends on your baseband mate. Blackra1n is only for 3.1.2, snowbreeze or redsnow may do it, but I think you may be doomed.
