    stolen ipad and phone

    i recently purchased a new iphone4 and ipad but they have been stolen from my car not sure if im insured for this can apple turn them off so at least the theif gets no plesure from them or even better trace them for me

                      You car insurance will not cover this at all, the majority of insurers only cover upto a certain amount for personal items. And tbh they are not going to believe that you had those items in the car, as many people lie when making claims.

                      Secondly, I aint sure if you can blacklist Iphones, but not entirely sure. Did you have an unlock code on either device? If you did, then they are useless to whoever stole them, although they would of already been sold for some drugs by now.

                      I am sorry for your loss mate, but your nuts for leaving these things in your car in the first place. Thats why you have a boot, so you can lock stuff away from site mate.

                      Hindsight is a wonderful thing I guess.

                        ok well thats something i guess least he wont be able to use it and yes your right it was pretty dumb of me to leave in car you know what they say "it will never happen to me"

                          it will depend on the carrier.

                          Your iPhone should be able to be blocked but the ipad will depend if it is 3g or not. If it is 3g, ask your carrier to block it by giving them the IMEI number for both items.

                          Check your home contents insurance.
                          Sometimes you are covered for possessions outside the home.
