sorry for sounding thick here, but i've neve jailbroke one before.

I've jailbroke it via the link that janobi posted in the other thread, but what do i do now?

Using Safari on your Ipod type this into the address bar JailbreakMe and follow the instructions BTW this also works with Ipad and Iphone 4 with latest firmware.

did you look at it on your pc or you ipod it must be on the ipod

Open up Cydia,
click on manage,
click on sources,
click on Edit top right,
click on Add top left,
type this in h ttp://sinfuliphonerepo.com ( no space in the http though)
Click Add,
let it reload,
go back into sources, click on SiNfuL iPhone Repo,
click on Appsync for OS 3.1... or OS 4, install that and then install any downloaded apps using itunes

just need to figure out how to download apps and have my phone connected now as i only have 2 working usb ports on my lapps, 1 for my mouse as internal is dead and the second for my dongle.... think i may need to invest in a usb hub

Install mywi cracked version from sinful iphone repo, then use your iphone as a wireless router, free up you usb port to install apps !!

think i've killed my phone. i installed that miwi now i get the following error.

Just go into Cydia and uninstall it m8, get rid of that error !!
Is it a 3GS you have or Iphone 4?

Update Cydia, go into changes see if there are updates, let it update, then retry MyWi Cracked.

Have a look for pda net, mywi seems not to like ios4 m8.

just think i'm not meant to get it working ..... downloaded pda net, then it says to create a ad hoc network on computer which i'm trying to do but laptop if refusing to set it up.... just keeps saying windows could not set up "xxxxx" gunna smash it up soon

got it working now....

i've installed that appsync, when i'm in itunes and click on something it asks me to log in into itunes is this normal?

i'd deleted my credit card info from itunes by the way

Just drag an app into the apps folder in the top left hand corner of Itunes, then click on your iphone , then look for the apps header, then press apply bottom right, should start syncing the app or apps m8.
I dont think I'm logged into itunes when I do it either.

Are you downloading the appz from a torrent or newsgroup ?
Remember you cant download anything from Itunes as you would have to pay for it ok.
Its apps that are in torrents newsgroups etc that we are dragging into itunes, nothing at all apart from free apps we get in itunes ok.
