Anyone use it??

I've had it for a while but because until now I've never put my Mac Mini to sleep I hadn't realised it doesn't support WoL.

I spent ages scouring the net, googling for solutions to wake the machine and tweaking with port forwarding, fixed IP's and MAC address binding but it seems all to no avail.

I have bought another little app which will handle the WoL but it's not ideal and will likely require DynDNS for a Dynamic IP.

Anyone else got any good solutions??

May be you should transfer this topic to the "MAC OS" group.
I think you get more response there.

I don't know much about the MAC HW but what's the problem with leaving it on ? Just turn on all the power saving modes in the OS and it won't consume that much energy.

Yeah I always used to leave it in standby but I thought I'd try and do my bit for the planet and put it to sleep when it's not in use.

You're right maybe the Mac OS forum would be better but at the moment it's just pages and pages of software downloads.
