Iphone 3G - 4.0.2 better than 4.0 ?

Hi Guys,

2 weeks ago i upgrade my iphone 3g to OS4 but after this, the phone only stucks and nothing works correctly and fast.
The Reason i found was flashing back to 3.1.2 and everthing works fine and smoothy
now iTunes says a new Firmware (4.0.2 - i think) is available and i want to know form you, if this firmware works better on the 3g (not 3gs) than the 4.0 version.
Yes, i have use google but either i cant search or no one else have the same question like me.

Thank's for your Answer, so i let the 3.1.2 on the Phone.

Because i wan't to upgrade to OS4 is the Zoom Function that was added to Version 4.
You know if there is a solution to get only the Zoom Function for the cam on the 3.1.2, any App to get this working?

I'm telling you no.

The battery life will drain like crazy due to the 4.0.x interface.
It has been proven, even will all the steps to "increase performance" on the 3G it will not perform any better from 4.0/4.0.1.

The 3g is lacking the physical ram to run this firmware, your best bet is to downgrade back to 3.1.3.

I have 3 devices. 1x 3G 1x 3GS 1x iPhone4.

3Gs and Iphone 4 run perfect, but sorry to say the 3G cannot handle anything past 3.1.3.

way of slighty making your iphone run faster on OS4 is turn off spotlight search, but the 3g will still run rather slow :-(

Unless your phone has been jailbroken then you cannot downgrade the phone. As cydia is what signs the fw rather than apple.

Do not upgrade to 4.0.x if you have a Parrot handsfree kit in your car: almost everything stops working: no audio, no bluetooth music streaming.. nothing works any more. Watch out!
