Iphone 4G sw4.02 jailbreak

I have accidentally upgraded to 4.02. Is there anyway to downgrade to 4.01 or jailbreak current software. If so how please?

You can only downgrade if the phone was previously JB.

regardless if your iPhone was jailbroken before or not, you never backup your SHSH!! it doesn't matter start from here....
For those people that want to downgrade from 4.02 to ie 4.01 or 3.1.3 try this
if this works, thank me, if it don't then forget me
first is to set your PC or laptop
go to
user> c;/ > windows>systems 32> driver> etc > hosts (open in notepad) then copy and paste this ( 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com )to the last line then save
if it doesn't allow you to do this, then drag to desktop and change, then save and drag it back.
1. Download the correct firmware from iClarified ( ie 4.01 for 3gs)
2. Connect iDevice to computer and put it into DFU mode
3. Once iTunes recognizes an iDevice in "recovery mode", hold shift + click restore
4. Locate the firmware file you downloaded and Open it, it will ask to confirm FW restore( what ever version you done [4.01])
5. iTunes will begin the removal and updating of the firmware and when it's done, it will reboot, done you have downgraded.
for 3gs downgraded to 4.01 or below then use jailbreakme
for 3g use redsn0w 9.5-5 to jailbreak with 4.0 F/W
if this has worked or not post back
you have nothing to lose

Should also point out DFU mode is not the same as recovery mode, DFU mode the screen will be black, recovery mode you have the usb cable pic on the phone.Make sure the screen is totally black, then you are in DFU mode.

You also need to change some stuff for itunes, otherwise it will ask apple to sign the downgrade rather than cydia.
