Getting a film on my 3gs

Ive got films that ive downloaded in xvid and avi format and ran the though VIDEORA and got a mp4 file out at the end but when i try to import it into itunes to then sync to my iphone itunes dont recognise the file. I have searched on the net and found some tips but i cant help but think it should be easier than this.

my iphone is on latest software and is not J/B

Any help or tips would be much appreciated.

download handbrake it works fine.also on itunes if you go into the info on your file and add an artist name then that helps.
i couldnt get mine to work and then added a name and it worked!

Do u have sync all films ticked in itunes?
I think it defaults on selected 1s so u have to tick each 1

In iTunes I can see the film and the little box is ticked but when I sync the iPhone everything syncs (contacts-music-ect) but the film won't .

I think dazz means when you have your iphone connected, go to devices and choice your iphone, navigate to the films folder and select sync films.

            Have you done that ?

ITgate TGM220 (swapable tuner), Dreambox 800 pro, Dreambox 500c x 2, DBox, Popbox media player.

go to koyotesoft.com and download the free video converter. this will convert the film format into ipod, iphone and many other formats. once its done it places the converted film on the desktop which you then import into tunes. its a free program too.
