on your iphone open safiri and go to address jailbreakme.com. slide the bar and let it do its thing. then your jailbroken. reply when its done and ill tell you how to get free apps if you like. :-)

also, iyunes is asking me if i want to upgrade to 4.1. should i leave it as it is?

Definitely NOT!!! If you upgrade you will lose your jailbreak.

Yes m8, firmware version 4 good to go !!
Do not upgrade anything in itunes.

how long does it take to jailbreak. the progress bar has been completed for a while now but the screen still says sit tight. any ideas m8?

crisis averted m8 i think, pressed the bottom button and looked in the home screen and cydia was there. just need to find out how to install installous...
