Is there a way of disabling AGPS on GPS. Yesterday I used tom-tom without Internet running but kept getting a msg about Internet connection turned off. With Internet off I didn't get speed details...

Strange you dont need an internet connection for tomtom to work.

it worked for me m8, maybe internet was buffered so tomtom thought it was getting a feed. (just a thought)
