well...... tried to jb my 3gs on 4.1 ios looks like its worked but no cydia or limera1n icon on my phone........ I am running it on a mac through VC so maybe that is the problem?

off to do some digging about will report back later

ive been trying this for the past few hours now

my 3gs has fresh update of 4.1

when i do the DFU mode part it just sits there
been sat there for half hour now

i reboot and i have to restore firmware each time i try

any1 else have this problem ?

got it working now........ had to do it twice as 1st time cydia wasnt there and wouldnt install..... for any one using a vc on a mac...make sure the limera1n file is on the windows desktop... I downloaded it on mac and tried to run it off my virtual windows 7 .....looked like it worked but didnt do anything, moved the file to my documents in win 7 and it worked fine.

tried this with touch and 3gs with 4.0.2 no luck windows 7 is it me goes into dfu mode but no limera1n or cydia ty as always in advance

@dave I think it is always better running admin rights..... not sure why your having the problems....its like its waiting for something? ....... just one more thing I found.... I remember once I had loads of trouble similar to you and it turned out that it was because I was using front usb ports...maybe try a different port?..also just asking but you do have itunes open when your running limera1n?

Works perfect for me... and I preserved the baseband on my iphone 4 by RESTORING to 4.1 with Tiny Umbrella running a TSS server, then ran limera1n then installed cydia and then installed ultrasn0w - works perfect and unlocked it to all networks.
