Can anyone check if an imei is blocked ?

Its an iphone 3gs 32 gig, im wanting to buy it but want to check the imei first.

Not sure if i should post the imei number here or not.

Ring the air time provider explaining that you are buying second hand phone and could they check if the IMEI is blocked....
