Not sure on the jailbreaking etc how do I unlock my orange Iphone Orange want 20 quid and it may take 10-15 days?

if cant be about preserving baseband while updating and these hassle then go for it mate. But on the other hand you know quite a bit about preserving baseband and knows how to do it safely then dont pay it. Just JB your phone and unlock it using freely available software.
