      Greetings,

Can't tell what the problem is here right now but I do know that iTunes and other apple programs are running on all kind of different files and those are stacked in manny different folders on the computer. It seems that you have something missing and I think that is because you deleted something without knowing...

I had something like this once on a laptop off a friend. Don't know why and don't ask but back then the virus protection program was the problem...

              That's correct.
I lost a backup off my iphone a few weeks ago.
Same thing here, nothing deleted and still the file is missing.
Even in my backup, that I run once a week, the file is missing...

First things first, what is your PC health like? i.e. Do you keep on top of maintenance, disk defrag, remove temporary files, registry clean? If this was my problem I would uninstall iTunes, then run ccleaner (download from piriform, free), then run a disk defrag program (Auslogics one is good & will also optimise your HDD). Then reinstall iTunes & see if it works ok.
