hi just bought iphone3g s16 gb of seller on amazon i paid ?350 for it is there anbody that can put my mind at ease as to whither its a clone or genuine came in box with bar codes on users guide charger ect cant find a waranty card to register its for a xmas present for the wife need to make sure its gunuine apple logo on the back with serial numbers etched in thanks

Try going to Settings>General>About ..... scroll down to Model then google it

i didnt think clones were that hard to detect most clones i have seen are really bad and can be spotted a mile away touch screens were crap and software was totally dirrerent

hi thanks for advce an help been messing around with it and went back to factory settings now i think i will have to get it unlocked again it was supposed to have beenn unlocked by the 02 shop thanks again

looks like it was jailbroke and unlock wiv software

once o2 unlock it it is unlocked by server and whatever firmware u put on it will be unlocked

waht firmware version u on

check in settings ,about it will have somthing like 3.1.3 or somthine

hi version4.1 carrier o2 supposed to be unlocked for any carrier i went back to restore factory settings got it working on o2 but need to get tmobile int as have 12 months left any help would be greatfull was trying to download purplera1n to jailbreak unsussesful download my norton detected unknown virus any help would super

Jailbreaking your iphone is easy via Limera1n or Greenpois0n,or Snowbreeze2.1

Check your baseband you may not be able to unlock.....

hi my phone is iphone 3g s 16 gb modem firmware 05.14 02 i have managed to jailbreak ok but cant find anything to unlock it still locked on 02 Limera1n jailbroke ok been advised Greenpois0n cant unlock it any help thanks

i believe you may have to downgrade your radio to unlock, not sure though haven't been keeping up lately... check out iPhone Download Blog just click on unlock at the top and do some digging, you should find everything you need on this site...
