Ok i conected iphone to my lappy so i could tetther it said install software USB lead for phone
then it said 2 out the 3 drivers installed gets error code 28 think it said and doesnt connect
anyone got any idears

Have you got a legitimate Tethering package with your network or are you using a jailbreak version ?

i think so m8 tmobile internet on my phone thught it was case of just hooking it up if i jailbrake my phone what soes the tethering do for me

Tethering in this case implies that your using your iPhone as a means to access the internet on your laptop, via the iPhones 3G or wifi connection. Using the USB connection or bluetooth to connect iphone and laptop.

To enable tethering download tether Me from Cydia....enable the tether option in Setting > General > Network > Internet tething

Best way to tether I've found is PDAnet from cydia. Lets you use the iphone cable or create a wireless hotspot. Works perfectly

I believe once jailbroken you can download mywi and get free tethering without paying an additional tethering charge on your account but i have never used it so couldnt help in setting up
