    Iphone car setup

Have decided to spend a few quid to set my iphone up for car use. I have ordered a brodit mount and charger so that takes care of that.

Now I want to have a handsfree set up that plays calls through my car speakers. I also want my tomtom app to have directions played through car speakers. I also want to be able to play music from iphone to my car radio. I have a lot of audio books and want to be able to control how they play from my iphone but obviously have them played through the car radio.

I know there are lots of bluetooth kits out there but they wont let you operate your iphone to play audiobooks through your stereo.

I have seen the little fm transmitters that plug into your iphone to stream music but they dont do calls.

Im looking for an all in one solution that will bluetooth calls to my radio and play music from my iphone to radio. And I must be able to control all functions via the iphone especially the audiobook playing.

take a trip to your local car stereo outlet/halfords maybe
ask in store, get some idea of the options available to you and prices etc

PARROT MKi9200 last time I checked top of the range with Parrot..Charge your Iphone, ipod classic,ipodToch,Nano....any MP3 player....connects to a USB source. Play music(The car kit controls the ipod function on your iPhone)....watch a movie on your iPhone while audio through car speakers. My job before I was made redundant was a Comms Installation Eng. fitted 1000s car kits over the years...pay the money get the functions.

My 307 is 02 and from what Ive read it doesnt require a SOT harness. Ive googled this and cant find one for sale so must be true.

You will need a test light or multi meter to make sure your permanent live and ignition are configured the correct way on the car kit side of the kit. Just because the car kit will plug into the radio harness don't assume the +ve and -ve and ignition sense are correctly configured.
