Still not working after new digitizer???

Changed the digitizer on my Iphone 3g 16g, and it still wants to have a mind of its own, doing all the usual symptoms that would make you think it was the digitizer faulty,

you need to touch a lower part of the screen if you want to open something higher etc...

new motherboard? or can it be fixed??

        Did this ever get wet?

Check around the connectors for the LCD & Digitizer for any sign of contamination or white marks. If you find some, clean it down with a toothbrush & some IPA (Isopropyl alcohol). Allow it to completely dry before putting the connectors back in.

As far as I'm aware there is no calibration function for the Iphone.

If you are getting exactly the same problem I would be looking for damaged pins on the board connector or restoring the firmware.

Tried the firmware upgrade twice on the phone now to no success, it appears to be ribbon connectors through out the iphone, i tried cleaning up the connections to the digitizer with alcohol... im really stuck , think it needs a new motherboard

When you put it back together, did the ribbon ever get caught?

Even the slightest knick or hard crease in a ribbon can ~~~~ it.
