Tesco Mobile on a 3g iphone

Hi everyone.... bought a 16gb 3g iphone off a m8 at work. It has been j/broke and unlocked but not sure which method.

My question is.... My wife has a Tesco mobile sim which i'm going to fit xmas day..... I was wondering if the sms/mms and network settings will install themselves or do I have to manually input them?

Many thanks for any advice as I dont want to look a right tool xmas day when she cant use the internet etc etc
