iphone 3g getting a signal but wont call out

hi my 3g has now got a problem with the signal. I get a small signal but wont call out or receive calls or texts. I then jailbroke it and unlocked it used a different network it had a better signal but when i try to cal out it says call ended and call failed straight away. please can anyone help me thanks

Imei blacklisted by any chance?

no it shouldnt be and i have checked online and it says its not been blocked or reported lost or stolen i dont know whats up with it thanks

Call the original network & ask them to check the IMEI for blacklisting. It can take 3 months for all systems to be updated, so going to the original network is always the best place to go.

Start with the easy stuff first
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings..
Any change ?

phoned the network and it seems there have been blocks made on the phone by mistake they are removing them and it should be back up and running in 72 hours so they say so fingers crossed thanks for all your help though this iphone has been nothing but a heap of crap neve buy off ebay ha
