ok guys was having some crap with itunes not seeing my pod or the iphone and went googling and found this little software and i must say it works great
iPhone without iTunes
Manage iPhone without iTunes and how to Transfer Music from iPhone to iTunes
This little piece of software only "weights" 3.43 Mb and is called copy trans Manager
Download from here
Backup iPod to PC,copy songs from iPod to computer,iPod to iTunes
Installation
The first cool thing about Manager is that it does not require any installation
This means that you just need to download the zip file from the manufacturer's website and double click on it upon complete download
Make sure to extract both the CopyTransManager.exe and CopyTransManager.ris files from the zip, as both are required for the program to work
This also means that the program can even be run straight from your iPod ( not iPhone or iTouch unfortunately, as these models do not support Disk mode and, hence, cannot be used as hard drives )
So, Manager is portable ( standalone ) iPod manager
Manage iPhone without iTunes
OK, enough talking, let's jump to the real fun ( I bet you just scrolled down here, didn't ya? )
The main thing to understand with an iPhone manageris that, as opposite to fully featured media centers like iTunes, it is only meant to manage iPhone songs, playlistsand other music contents, but not the media data of your computer ( called "Library" in iTunes )
Which is actually what we want
So, what you see in Manager are the songs on your iPhone, not the ones of your computer's hard drive
From this on, the rest is crystal clear and obvious:
You want to add / download songs to iPhone? Just drag them from any folder of your computer to Manager
Remove songs from iPhone by right-clicking on them and select Delete from iPod
Edit iPhone playlists without iTunes as easily as with iTunes, but with an application that downloads in a blink, does not require an installation, does not mess up your computer with MBs of useless data and resource-consuming processes, is super light and fast and does not constantly bait with whatever it can sell
Create new playlists on iPhone and rename existing ones
Delete iPhone playlists
Add artworks ( album arts, album covers ) to iPhone with drag & drop
Edit iPhone songs infos ( ID tags )
Finally, Manager has 2 really cool features that will please the most paranoid among you:
It creates a backup of your iPhone database ( the file that contains all the information about iPhone songs and playlists ) so you can rollback to how your iPhone was before managing it with Manager
It allows to either apply changes to iPhone on the fly immediately or, for faster and safer iPhone management, altogether and the end of the editing session
