Upgrade fw 4.1 help

Currently on fw 3.1.2 and wanted to update to fw 4.1 to jailbreak my iphone but itunes available update only fw 4.2.1. Appreciate if somebody can guide me to update to fw 4.1. Thanks.

Your looking at a full and in depth 'how to' do such a thing, why not google and learn the basics before posting a "how do I" post to explain the jailbreak.
You can jailbreak your phone using the fw 3.1.2 you already got no need to goto 4.1.
Look at the likes of iClarified - Apple News and Tutorials for ideas.

@yovs125 goto felixbruns iPod firmware and download correct 4.1 fw for your device,then do a custom restore,look at the dfu thread I did search dfu.or hold shift while clicking restore and choose the 4.1 you downloaded

The phone has been jailbroken using jailbreakme and got some issues and hence would like to update to fw4.1 re-jailbreak using limera1n...but the latest update was fw4.2.1. Anyway, thanks got a solution to it.
