What Battery replacement for iphone 3gs

My iphone 3gs battery used to last almost a day before but now not even few hours (Working...Life line from 6:30 - 11:00) after that is dead. I only used just to check my emails or social network sites for few min. I also must mention that during this time I do listen fm radio through Griffin Technology 9562-NAVIGT In-Line Controller And FM Radio.

The phone is only one year old but is out of appel warranty.

Now, Shall I buy an new replacment battery or External Battery?
Please I appreciate your help or recommendation which one and what Capacity: mAh Etc.?

hi there,
we got a MiLi external battery, which was great and extended the batt life to nearly three days, however it is a year old, and is suffering the same. lasts about a day now.
It is time they started developing better batteries.

Get some more opinions first, maybe we have not got the best.

The best is to take it into the apple store and let them replace, if the shop is not to far away from you,stands a chance that they will replace the complete iPhone with a brand new one for ?45 they do not advertise this for obvious reasons but it's a common problem and I have taken two 3GS iPhones back with bad battery over 12 months old and this is what they did with mine :-) plus no other device beats the original and if u get new iPhone like I did for ?45 sorted

I can't take it to the appel shop because the warranty has run out.
In the end I have decide to stick with the same old one but had to do a full restore, (start as new) and after that I had to turn off all the push notifications etc.
It has made a huge differnt to the battery life since.

What the hek???
Damnnnnn, Why buy an iphone when you have to turn all this futures off?

Its not a "new" phone, what do you think they done with your one you took in, they didnt put it in the rubbish all they do is put a new battery in, re-shell them and then back to the Apple store
