Ringtone doing me f***ing head in

I got here a 3gs with 4.2.1 software in it, I did have the loud blackberry default ringtone in it BUT I done the jailbreak thing last night couldn't see any difference so I restored the phone back to normal but lost the BB ring tone, i have followed the steps here:

How to Use Songs as Ringtones on an iPhone | eHow.com

like I did the 1st time, (and it worked) when I put the ring tone in but this time I cant find the it on the phone, please can you tell me where Im going wrong ??

    Thanks

I am using itunes 10.1.2 and have no problem so far using the above method to create custom ringtone and full song ringtone with diskaid.

In itunes, once you converted the song it is under .m4a file extension. Drag to yr desktop and change the file extension to .m4r. Once it is change, drag it back on itunes and put in the ringtone folder and sync yr iphone. Hope it helps.

Ive finally sorted it, I was doing the same as I done before to install the ringtone and wasnt getting anywhere then I found this:

To convert the .m4a version to the .m4r version you have to:
                    1) Change your folder options by going to "My Computer"
                    2) Click on "View" and then uncheck the "Hide extension for known file types"... apply and ok it
                    3) Then right click the .m4a version on your desktop, go to "Properties". You should now be able to edit the file.
                    4) Click Save, you'll notice that the Itunes symbol has now change to ringtone
                    5) Open up the file from your desktop and DONE!

after doing that it worked a treat

                    Thanks
