trying to save my music

installed new hard drive & trying to scan /copy all music from another hard drive that has itunes on it . what is a good program to do this with . Thank You

try yamipod. really good alternative to Itunes, u can plug someones ipod into your PC and copy songs from theirs to yours.

First of all your question is a little bit ambiguous, what kind of drive, from which device, what interface the drive have?
Any way, all the songs from iPod devices has the well known formats. So most application that knows external devices and music management should be able to grab your music. One that all of us knows is WinAmp, you can try FooBar, AIMP, iTunes.
