my sister gave me her ipod to put music on but if i sync it with my pc it will empty the songs that are already on the ipod is there any way of putting songs on the ipod without syncing it with my pc

google - idump - fantastic bit of kit and free! or ipodcopy, ipodrip they will all allow you to copy to pc then you can sync the ipod & transfer the music back.

I am using winamp to copy music from and to my iPod, this works fine. Further the data tansfer is quicker compared to iTunes.
