    Ipod classic 30gig dead

    hello everyone.

ive got a ipod classic 30gig and it wont even light up.

one minute it was fine and the next minute it wont even light up even in itunes.

ive tried different stuff like holding menu and home buttons in but nothing happens at all.

any ideas please before i throw it in the bin

    cheers

my ex took my first one to a place in glasgow in the buchanan galleries. it was connected to

Advanced MP3 Players - the MP3 player experts

he went asking them to fit a new battery but they guy looked at it and was honest enough to say it wasnt the battery - it was goosed.

can you turn it on at all?

the last time my screen froze when i switched mine on i eventually just left the battery to go completely dead then recharged and it worked.

If you connect the recharger to it, you should be able operate the buttons ok. If not - then is not the battery.
I once pulled out the charger and nothing would work on my Ipod. I left it a few days, and it starting to work ok.
