ipod damaged

    ipod damaged

    dropped ipod in a bucket of water[dont ask how this happened]is ther any way of fixing it or do i need to buy a new one?

    My cell phone was dropped into the bath too. After drying with silica gel, it is the same.

      Make sure it's dry, then put in bag of rice for day or so, should work.

      (urban myth but some say it works)

          Do not attempt to switch it on, Leave it in a bowl of dried rice for about a week, i washed my sons ipod touch, it was in his trouser pocket.Worked for me, brand new now.

            My son in law had beer poured on his iPhone and putting it somewhere warm fixed it

              For a few weeks or maybe a month or two but if it is not dismantled and cleaned it will stop working for ever.

                Unfortunately, you are not covered under warranty for this..

                ^ Erm I was under the impression that leaving it in a warm place can make it hot. Well my phone once got heated and shut down.

                After wiping it clean of course, let it dry.

                I gotta admit that when my phone was dusty I washed it and it was fine after cleaning it..

                Just clean it as soon as possible, is it already damaged?
