ok stupid question recently broke screen on i pod touch 3g bought a replacement off of ebay however i ordered the wrong one. the screen comes with lcd and digitizer. know i am wondering can i use the screen i bought which is meant to be for ipod touch 4 on i pod toch 3

Hi nrsjbor,
The screen & digitizer on the 3rd & 4th generation iPods are TOTALLY DIFFERENT !!. The 4th Gen are combined, and are very hard to change (have to remove main circuit board to get to plugs).
The 3rd Gen are much easier to work on as the LCD screen & Digitizer are seperate units, but the battery mounting plate will have to be unscrewed & lifted to get the screen ribbon cable unpluged.
