ipod touch 3g 8gb and blackra1n help

hi just got one for son tried blackra1n but stops after geohot screen ie goes black and stays black,even if i try to run blackra1n it says waiting for ipod ? i have done this several times but it needs re installing again from scratch i have used windows xp and 7 and vista all with same results the ipod has a mc serial number any help out there ?

have you got itunes installed as blackra1n uses itunes installed files to run

Try another computer 1st, try different usb ports m8.
Try using a desktop PC m8 instead of using a notebook/laptop.
USB 1 ports are useless for blackrain, always use usb 2 ports m8.
