help on jailbreaking my ipod touch

hi new to this what software is the latest to jailbreak my ipod touch 8gb and how do i go about it

have a look and see what firmware is on it .if its 1.1.5 it can be done using redsnow 08 and 1.30 restore.as i have done a couple of those lately

u can update to that latest f/w and use spirit .. even better

best to keep to an older install itunes to if u can under 9.114

After u have jalbreaked the touch or iphone u will see a new add called cydia,
Open it an then update it ..then at the bottom u will see manage . click this and press edit and add url http://cydia.hackulo.us
Now thats added , search for installous and install that
When thats install u can get most off your apps from there

A newbie myself at this stuff but spirit worked for me using ipod touch 2G: 3.1.3 FW

I would recommend use a custom firmware than use a kernel injection software (Like Spirit/Blackra1n/RedSn0w).

If you got access to a Mac, look for pwnagetool and make your own custom firmware and you will have your ipod jailbreaked with your preferences.

Would wait a week or 2 as beta jailbreaks out there.
But feel free to try use redsn0w 0.9.5 it must be an MB model not an MC
