What could happen if I upgrade to version 4?

Or is there another Jailbreak that supports this?

As it has been jailbroken before you can use snowbreeze 1.7 or redsnow something or other to jailbreak it again. But as 4.0.1 has been released you should expect a jailbreak for 4.0 to be released shortly.
