Firstly updated me ipod touch to 4.0.2(8a400)
is there anyway to get the free apps n games now or do i have to wait till something comes out

Downgrade to 4.0. The new firmware 4.0.2 has a fix which prevents you from jailbreaking it.

You can only downgrade if the device was jb before, and you have saved the SHSH files. Otherwise you will have to wait.

I've had to downgrade mine because I upgraded to the new firmware - 4.0.2. I used the DFU approach mentioned in this forum and you will need the old firmware file 4.0.

NB: You may loose your apps if they haven't been synced or backed up somewhere.
